Parks & Gardens was contracted by the Colorado Historic Society to provide on-call landscape architecture services at Trinidad Historic Museum.
The Trinidad Historic Museum occupies a hillside in the Trinidad Historic District. This museum features several attractions, the Adobe Baca House and Kitchen Garden, Bloom Mansion and Heritage Gardens, annual ethic gardens, and traditional Trinidad brick courtyards and walkways.
Parks & Gardens was asked by the Colorado Historic Society to prepare a plan that resolves existing drainage problems at the main brick courtyard, redesigns an existing ramp to comply with ADA standards, and adds security lighting throughout the site. Site drainage, accessibility, and lighting improvements are being designed with minimal construction impacts and maximum respect for the historic components of the site.
