| Parks & Gardens was contracted by the City and County of Denver to provide on-call landscape architecture services. As a result of the 2007 City Bond Referendum, parks throughout the city were targeted for a variety of improvements, ranging from system-wide restroom improvements to restoration of historic landscapes. Parks & Gardens has been working with the Department of Parks and Recreation on significant improvements throughout the city, including Madam Walker Park.
Parks & Gardens prepared a new playground design for the small neighborhood park in an established and active neighborhood in northeast Denver. Design process included community outreach with neighbors, neighborhood representatives and local politicians. Final design included interpretive designs on concrete walls, traditional and experiential playground equipment, paths, and site furniture.
