Alternative Plan to Johnstone Park Entry Preliminary Plan

Included as an implementation strategy for the Downtown Redevelopment Plan, Parks & Gardens prepared a series of diagrams that illustrate simple improvements along the southern edge of the park and more complex internal circulation improvements. Pedestrian access, programming organization, vehicle circulation and parking, and stormwater drainage were analyzed. The overall goal of park improvements is to increase visibility of park amenities, improve internal circulation and connections to adjacent urban destinations and improve pedestrian safety.
